Our trip to Des Moines

The kids and I drove two hours to Des Moines to see my old friend Lynsey. We've been friends since 6th grade and it was special to have our kids play together. We had the BEST time. She had 2 (Katie5 and Chole4) little girls and another on the way. Their basement was one huge toy room that even had a dance stage. Amelia said it was like a dream. I had to take a picture of this because I didn't think anyone would believe me if I told them. This is Lynsey's husbands office. It has literally 10 computer screens. I'm not sure what he does for a living but I asked, he's not a producer/DJ like P Diddy.
Amelia just loved Katie. Can you see the fancy makeup they put on?
Katie is quite an athlete. She tried to teach Mini how to throw the ball up and hit it...
As we pulled away they were sitting on their front porch swing. Doesn't it look like a dream?
Thanks Lyns, for the wonderful day.

Playing Horse

This is the exact same thing my sisters and I used to do with my dad. Hanky and Amelia loved having rides. My dad makes a strange horse noise so Junie wasn't sure.
Then we got the "horse" a bowl of water. They were all cracking up.
Junie thought it looked like fun too...
His favorite is still the pool.

T-Ball again

We had another great morning at Tball. She seriously loves it. Getting a grounder... Talking on the bench as she waits her turn to bat.

Mini having the time of her life.
Scotty made some new friends and spent the entire time running in circles around a tree...

Bever Park

Mini loved The Wishing Flowers on the way to the park. (Dandelions) Two hanging monkeys.
Aunt Kers, Aunt Karoline and Cousin Haddie in the beautiful park.
Scotty and Hank
Scotty picking flowers.

Sunday Fun

The girls loved wearing old Criddle girls dance outfits. Kel called Kater Gumby all day. Then we went to a Fairtale Day at Usher's Ferry. It's just a historic village.
The conductor of the train drove us to the depot and read a story.
Then Junie got restless and fell off the tracks.
Back in the train. See my dad and Kel in the kid area?
We was a nice conductor. It was actually a lawn mower. These people were playing folk music and Junie was dancing.Nanny got the kids glass bottles of root beer.We walked in and out of old homes. This was inside the bank were Amelia was the boss. Mini and Papa.
Scotty found a microphone and was thrilled...

Old MacDonald's Farm

We checked out all the animals then the kids really liked the little ducks. Then Junie found the mud puddle. Uh-Oh...

No worries, now he'w much better.

Parade Day

The girls were twinsies for the parade. All the kids wore matching clothes(I love that!) You have to see the video. You'll hear Mikele laughing and Karoline singing Guns'n'Roses really loud. http://uncutvideo.aol.com/videos/2279a59a288ab9afdf5bacdf71c12a52?index=0Mini and Junie. Scott loved every second with all that candy. He started to get his own from the throwers.Nanny and Cousin Haddie.

Crazy Kater enjoyed the free cozies as hand warmers.
Kel was freezing and used Junies blanket as a shawl.
Sweet Haddie.PS- Yesterday the girls played in the rain in their underpants.
