Something to consider...

This is a post from a woman whose child had major complications at birth.
When I read this, my reaction was yes-this is exactly how I feel.
I just wanted to share it with you all.

"With all that, let me just say. Quincy is the best thing that ever happened to us. At his birth, we became different people. We grew up. Through our brokenness God created a new person and a new outlook. . Obviously the hardest part about it is that he will suffer. It will cause him frustration and pain and hurt. And that is heartbreaking.
But there are blessings and depths you just can’t get to without traveling a road of suffering. And I think that’s what is hard for people to understand who have not gone through something similar. Although we all pray for perfectly healthy babies–I have a hard time with that one now. Simply because I have loved a broken child. And I know that although painful, it has brought my deepest joy and is my highest privilege." Jody Landers

Happy MLK Day

I think a couple of other people had our idea about the outdoor play area. Can anyone see Amelia?
There she is!

Big Boy!

Junie is trying so hard to ride his bike.
He just doesn't quite have the peddling yet.
He could care less because he thinks he's so cool in his helmet.

Northern Arizona Tour

We went on a little adventure. Our first stop was Sedona.
See the pink Jeeps and the snowy mountains?

Next we were on the road to Jerome. We watched glass being made and had lunch at the Ghost City Restaurant.

Back in the car again and this time we were off to Prescott. That's where our FREE Marriott was located.

The kids were jumping like crazy.

So was this crazy mom. What in the world?
Fake sleeping...
Party Lance bought these punching balloons, we all loved them.

Scotty was just relaxing on the bed before our drive to Flagstaff.
Luker was teaching Scotty how to eat a cookie. (thanks Luker).
We found the show and it was beautiful. Owen and Lance were master sledders. Scotty hated it and Amelia really liked making the snowman. Notice Robyn throwing a snowball at my innocent husband.

This is a picture of their snowman?!
Then back to Prescott for some fun and running around at the town square.

At the very top.
Luke liked the stairs.
Four wonderful little travelers.

Rock'n'Roll Marathon!!

Scotty has a cold so we couldn't go to church. Instead we headed to downtown Phoenix to cheer on 10,000 runners.
We has a blast. Can you see anyone you know?!
What about now?!
That's right it's our very own Karin!!! We cheered our heads off!! Amelia yelled (Go Wyatt's mom!!!) Congrats!!!!!
Scott liked the pom-pons!!
Sissy got to give some of the runners high-fives!!
All that cheering made them tired.

Lemons

We planted these lemon trees when Amelia was born 4 1/2 years ago and we finally have nice lemons!!!
Scott picking them.
We've (just Amelia and I) been a little sick and that's why the kids are in jammers at the end of the day.
Big Scott thought it would be cool to eat a lemon slice?!

A Great Day

Big Scott is gone to camp and we miss him terribly, but we still had a really fun day.
We went with Kater and Miles to the I-SEE-'EM. Actually the Museum for Youth.
Scott and Miles were having fun.
Scotty thought he was a really cool doing a puppet show.

e went to Trader Joe's just for fun after our naps and on the way we passed our favorite garbage drop off. Amelia noticed first and asked me to pull over so we could "shop". I know, NOT NORMAL.
We found this sweet kids chair.
We also got 3 babies and Little Tykes bed and swing. It was a dream. (Pray for Kenya)
