Luker's 8, Let's Celebrate!

The two big kids and I left our house a little after 5:00 this morning for Muscatine Iowa. We drove right into a huge dark storm, but weather.com promised it would be sunny for the party and....

 IT WAS!!! Robyn has been addicted to Pinterest and the party showed it!

Lance made an awesome baseball field in the yard. It was amazing!

Grandchildren?

I was really excited to read that a Savers was opening in a town not far from us (15 minutes). I also read that their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was Thursday morning at 8:30. How could we miss out on the excitement? When got there we were one of 5 other shoppers. Even Amelia whispered to me, "This is awkward".

 

Just before the doors opened, an overly friendly man called my kids over to hold the giant sciccors to cut the ribbon. I was hiding from the camera laughing my head off at the craziness.We're making memories....

It's hot here in the Chicagoland area. We are trying to love every minute of it!

Drive-In

So, the other night we went to the drive-in. The kids were so excited to see Brave and the weather was perfect so what could possibly go wrong?

We packed our dinner and enjoyed hanging out for the 2 hours before the movie started. We played frizbee and the kids played in the rocks. 

Then just as the movie started... SAM THREW UP! To say it was a giant mess  does not even begin to describe what we experienced. It was completely dark and everything we covered in vomit including me. Needless to say, we didn't see the movie.

Special Night

A couple weeks ago, my nice neighbor and I were talking about how thankful we are for our oldest daughters. I was telling her how much I count on Amelia to help me around the house. I have to admit,  sometimes I just take for granted that she will help and I forget to say thank you!   She had a great idea to honor our girls with a special date. I got a gift certificate (for my birthday, thank you) to a cute nail salon so we treated the girls to a manicure.

It was such a sweet night and I think the girls felt really special. I love Amelia.

We had fun at garage sales and the pool all day with the whole William's family. Then it was finally time for the show! Here we are waiting.

Summer Funner Theatre Practice

The kids are loving Summer Funner Theatre. After dinner they showed us some of the motions to the songs.

It all when downhill when the 2 little naughties joined the fun.

 I'm completely addicted to Macker.
