Plaid
My neighbor busted me for putting all my kids in plaid today. I confess, I thought it was a good idea. She laughed at me.

BABIES!!
I can't even believe I'm typing this, 2 of my besties had their baby girls YESTERDAY. Yes. On. The. Same. Day. We laughed about this happening but I never actually thought. Mikele started having contractions Friday night. Little Piper Jane was born on Saturday afternoon. 8lb 11oz.
I had talked to my friend Heather from her son's soccer game (on Saturday afternoon) and she seemed totally normal. She did very casually mention that she was having some contractions but no big deal. The next thing I heard was a message saying they were at the hospital and it was time for the baby. Little Brooklyn was born on Saturday evening. 6lbs 14oz. I love them both so much already. I have pictures of both babies but I better wait.

Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Busy
Last Saturday my mom and dad spent the day with us watching soccer games.
Seriously, super model.
While Macker was away, these guys really missed him.
My mom and dad took Mac back to their house for 3 days so I tackled the basement and all the kids closets. It was time to switch from summer to winter clothes. I can't tell you how happy I am to be FINISHED! The closets look just about perfect. I donated 9 bags of clothes and sent 3 giant bins home with my parents to deliver to my sisters. I'm sure the closets will stay clean at least a week;)
AWANA started last Wednesday and I am a Sparks leader again this year. I love spending my Wednesday nights with my little group of 1st grade boys. Junie and I call it our date night.
Our dear friend Uncle Chris, (the one who moved to TX) was in town shooting a wedding and he offered to take pictures of Sammer.
They are amazing.
Seriously, super model.
I feel like he really captured his sweetness.

Church is going great. I started co-leading a 7th grade Core group and the girls are really nice.
So, that's it for now. This makes me happy.
So does this.

babysitting
For the last couple months I've been praying for a way to make a little money to help our family. I thought about serving at a restaurant in the evenings but I really didn't want to miss family time. I thought about Trader Joe's but they don't have a very flexible schedule. Then.... I got a phone call from a friend of ours (she was on staff with Scott a couple years ago) and she wanted to ask if I'd be interested in watching her daughter 2 days a week. Instantly in my heart I felt like this was a good fit. Her sweet little Genvieve is just 3 months older than Sammer. She is sweet, funny, super smart and obedient. I'm counting on her to teach Sam how to talk. (no pressure, right?!) Anyway, I'm totally thankful.
