Go, Go Jonah + Soccer + Dance

Friday night Sissy had her big performance. She joined "Glory Kids" choir at church at the beginning of the year and she has loved every second of it! They practiced every Sunday during the 11:15 service.

Amelia did such a good job and she told me how great it was to be 'little' because she got to be in the front row!

Can you tell how much fun they had?

Love her.

Having Nanny and Papa there was the best part.

Early Saturday morning we headed out to Scotty's soccer! Scotty isn't a big fan of the beach ball but he still did his best.

Go Junie!!

Team shot!!

On to dance!

Amelia did such a good job.

She looked at Scott and I the whole time!
See what I mean?

Amelia is a total rule follower... she stayed in this pose for about 10 minutes... Scott and I were laughing our heads off...
Junie liked it.
Ready to give Sissy her flowers? (nice face)
Here he comes!
There you go, Sis!
"I can't help it, I just have to kiss her cause she's the best."
Buddies~
We got home and Scott and Amelia did their famous move! THE STAR!!!
THE END!

Recap

****UPDATED****

This morning 2:00am Macker woke up with a high temp, poor buddy.

I took him to the doctor this morning but it's NOT strep, just a bad virus. (glad Nanny and Papa are coming tomorrow to save the day!!)

Last night our friend Lance stopped in to surprise us, can you tell the kids were excited? Oh, he also brought us a treat...

Macker has been working so hard on his 'jump' but his little feet never leave the ground. The teenagers tried and tried to teach him...

Here's the kids jumpshot. (we're going to keep practicing...)

We're still loving our new grass and Scoot has been so diligent about the watering. The other day Sissy had a friend over named Lindsey. She's such a nice girl. Lindsey has a little sister with Down Syndrome and we've told her how much we love people with DS and we told her about our special friend Luke Williams... anyway, when I was giving the kids a snack after school Lindsay said, "Excuse me, Mrs. Murray, I remember you telling me that someone in your family has Down Syndrome, is it your son Scott?" (she pointed right to Junie) I tried so hard not to laugh. I explained that it wasn't someone in our family it was someone that we love. I then snuck to the laundry room and called Robyn and we laughed our heads off!!
Lindsey taught our little AZ children all about earth worms. When Scott was watering some worms came to the surface and Lindsey walked right over and picked one up. Junie didn't want to be left out so he joined her. Macker wanted to be like the big kids but I don't really know what that is in his hand.

Junie actually really liked the worms. He's come a long way since his first encounter. A year ago right now...

**** Update... the ibuprofen is working....

Awana Awards!

This year our entire family has been at church every Wednesday night. Scoot with the Jr. Highers, Sissy and I in Sparks, Junie in Cubbie and Baby Mac in Puggles.
We arrived a couple minutes early so I decided it would be the perfect time for some pictures. Poor Mac could NOT stop doing The Macker.
I didn't realize people were starting to arrive so they walked up on Crazy Mom yelling "Chin down, open your eyes, look at my nose, look at my nose, LOOOK at my nose..." Shoot.
Scotty's group was the first to hit the stage. He looked nervous for about .5 seconds until he saw me with the camera. All of the sudden he thought it was his own personal photo shoot. Striking poses.
Seriously, how could I love him any more?!

Next it was Sissy's turn. She's done such a good job this year. She finished her book and a review book and started on the second review. So proud of her for hiding God's word in her heart.
Sweet ribbon.
This is Amelia and her friend Hannah (she's Ethopian!!!!)
After the program we had ice cream and punch in the gym. Perfect night.

Happy Mother's Day

My Scooter cleaned the entire house yesterday as my Mother's Day present. (best gift ever!) So this morning when Scooter left a little after 7, I made the kids breakfast in bed. This last week I asked a friend of mine what she did on Mother's Day and if it was a hard day for her because her mom passed away when my friend was a senior in college. Anyway, she told me the coolest story about her mom. She said that every Mother's Day her mom made she and her sister breakfast in bed to thank them for being her kids. She explained that she would never be a mom if it wasn't for her them so the day was really in their honor. I loved, loved, loved the idea so I thought I'd try it.

The kids were up around 6:00 (as usual) so I sent them each up to their own room and told them I needed to talk to them separately. They looked confused.

Then I gave them each a tray and sang to them. They LOVED it.

I forgot Macker was old enough to care about breakfast in bed. When he saw the teenagers with their food he pointed to his bed and "Macker, ni-night?"

Lucky for me his sheets had already been removed (leaky diaper). He loved his cinnamon roll on a paper plate.Later we gardened together. Peppers, strawberries, tomatoes...

Macker was way more into the digging.
We also went on a family bike ride and had friends over for dessert. Such a fun day.

Macker's starting to like his bike!

I love these little sweethearts and I am thankful that I have been chosen to be their mom.

PS- Junie asked me if I would serve him his dinner tonight... in bed.

Remember our crazy hill of free wood chips?! It's gone!!! Now we have beautiful new grass in it's place. Scoot and I are in love with it!

WHO doesn't need an ELMO costume!?!

How about a new $20.00 Maclaren!?!?
Hey, new $5.00 bike for Macker. (he hates it!)

We Found the Boots!!!

Robyn and I arrived in San Antonio just 15 minutes after Mikele and Heather landed, Jen and Jordan were there to welcome all of us. After some hugging and screaming we loaded into Jen's car and headed straight for the boots. (this picture was taken from the freeway)
We parked and found a nice man to take our picture.
If you think Heather looks like Tropical Barbie in these pictures it's because she just got back from Costa Rico. (NOT FAIR)
More boot pictures.
Hey, where's Kel?!
When you haven't seen your BFF's in a really long time, naturally the first thing you do is all go to DSW Shoes, right? Jen took Madison to the bathroom and Mikele was suppose to be watching Jordan when all of the sudden we heard Mikele scream in the weirdest way from the next isle. When we all ran over to see what happened we found this. Jordan was holding and petting it. Sick, right?
One of the DSW ladies came over to see what all the commotion was about... she was going to try to kill it but we let her know it was already dead.
Kel quickly sanitized Jordan's hands while the sales attendant scooped up the roach only to accidentally fling it at Heather and I. We all laughed our heads off. The perfect way to start the perfect weekend.
