Valentine's Day

These are my little Valentines before school.

Sam was still sleeping so he had his own picture. He will NOT smile for the camera.

Every year Scoot and I almost get each other the same card.  Do you see how simular they are?

I got to help in Juner's class.

We had a really fun night working on all the kid's Valentines for school. I'm mad at myself for not buying them at 90% off last year but they were all so happy to pick them out themselves at Target.

Why can't Mac do a normal face and why doesn't he wear pants like everyone else?

 I got my very own surprise Valentine in the mail yesterday. How cute it that?? THANK YOU!

Super Bowl Sunday

After our second weekend without Scott we were ready for him to GET. HOME. So ready that we were all waiting in the front yard.

Vacations are Overrated

My little sister is HERE for a week. All. Inclusive. (her husband won Sales Guy of the Universe)  Where every meal is made for you.

 Where your bed is made for you. I'm not jealous.

Just because she and her husband are laying on a beach, in the sun, drinking some fancy drink with an umbrella. I'm not jealous.

I'm sure I'd miss the craziness.

Do you think they have a salon with a stylist like this? I think not.

It would totally stink to be left alone for a whole week.

I'd rather be home.

See Ya, Helmet!

I'm sure you've all been dying to know what's going on with Sammer's head. He's had a helmet on every single day since last July and finally this past Saturday we took it off. OFF! For the last 2 weeks, it has started to shift during the day. I would readjust it but it would go right back to the incorrect position. The position was putting pressure on the soft cartilage on the top part of his ear. It looked irritated and I could tell it was bugging him (it was off after several naps).  I even took him back into the "Helmet Doctor" for their opinion. They agreed that it was bugging his ear.  They told me that if it continued to move, it would be best to quit the helmet.

So Saturday I noticed the top of his ear was red and looking really sore, that was it!

So, now he's done!!! He's happy and we're all happy to see his cute curls. I'm thankful for Cranial Technologies and our health insurance. I'm thankful to live in a country where we have amazing medical care at our fingertips. I don't take it for granted. The shape of his head is much better. Not perfect, but much better.

The only time I miss the helmet is when Juner carries him around the house.

January 31st

The weather has been crazy the last few days. It's seriously NOT COLD. It's hard to believe it was just one year ago that we had the terrible blizzard.

Now we're playing outside...

No coats, or pants.

Macker thought we needed to make cookies to celebrate. How could I argue with that face?

 Such concentration. They were delicious.
