We had another great day in Hilton Head Island! We decided to check out a marina area...
This is Junie's cool beach guy stance. He is half beach guy half ninja...
We hear a great singer named Shannon Tanner... It was all fun unitl Sammer tripped and cut his forehead open again. (no stitches this time!!)
Then we found a cute table for the kids to chill.
The next day we went to another beach where they had an awesome splash pad at the entrance.
Could this guy look any happier?
Here we are...ready to go to the ocean. Sam loved his own can of Sprite.
The water was warm and the waves were so much fun.
Our little sissy! (with a tiny crab)
Scotty and Scott loving each other on the beach. We had about 15 feet of beach because the tide was up so high.
Here they are building a swimming pool.
Just to keep it all real, here's Sam having a fit. He's only a fan of the beach for about an hour a day.
So, so thankful!!

Biking- Beach Style
*Scoot wrote this blog post.
Our first time biking on the beach as a family was a big hit!
It was low tide so the beach was huge. (we just learned what that means)
Juner loved riding close to the water. As he drove by crowds of people with his Chicago Bears bike, it was like a "wave" of excitement came over all the beach lovers...they were all yelling..."Go Bears!...Go Bears!...Sunday is coming!!!!" (not really)
Katie told me that she'd been dreaming of this exact moment. We were so excited that we were biking in circles. The ride was really easy...until we turned IN to the WIND...it was quite a workout! Still awesome.
What a sweet little beach princess...
There are times when Sam is the happiest baby in the world. He just loves to sit in the sand. He loves to eat it too!
Of course...we had to take this picture. The kids are getting used to it by now. Amelia always posed. Now Scotty seems to getting to that point. At least the other two are looking at the camera!
Washing the bikes...
Wonder twin powers!
The kids were having a blast at the pool. They were trying out some new jump moves over Scott's head...sometimes he was a little scared.
We are having an amazing time. So thankful for being here...

"Wait Sammer, it's pictures first!"
YEAH!! So excited!
Sammer ran the whole way!
So thankful for the time with our family. It feels like a dream.

Dreamy Vacation
So we jumped in the car and headed south. A really nice family from our church called us at the beginning of summer and asked us if we'd like to use their beach condo in Hilton Head, South Carolina. (YES!!!!!!!) I can't tell you how much that meant to me. God knew exactly what our family needed. Since the nice family was going to the Domonican Republic, the 2nd week of July worked perfectly. We hit the road at 5:00am!
There's my sweet driver. (did I mention that he drove 21 hours straight?)
Sleeping babies.
We were originally planning to stay one night in Asheville, NC but we weren't really impressed when we pulled into town, so we kept driving to Savannah, Georgia.
It was such a cool town. We walked all over the place checking out all the touristy things.
Cobblestone streets.
We went to a really famous ice cream shop. I read that if kids said the pledge they got a FREE scoop of ice cream. Macker, Sis and Junedog all scored really delish ice cream.
Fancy buildings.
We found cool things.
Our family.
This is Paula Deen's restaurant.
Here's John Wesley.
We had time for some wrestling...
Then we went up to the rooftop of our hotel.
We swam.
The babies ate watermelon.
There must have been about 150 people watching from the rooftop when the fireworks started. Macker was the ONLY one in the pool. I thought it was so funny!

It was a really special day and our Hilton Head vacation hadn't even begun.
July 1= Big Storm
Last Sunday we had just gotten home from church, Sammer and I ran to Trader Joe's to get a few things for the company we were having that evening. I told the kids that when I got home I'd take them to the pool. As I was driving I noticed that the sky was pretty dark to the west but I didn't think much of it. We did our shopping but as we were checking out I got a text from Scoot.
"This is the worst storm I have ever seen. Be careful." I looked out the window and it was as dark as night. Sam and I spent the next 30+ minutes waiting for the storm to pass. This was how our neighborhood looked as we arrived home. Thankfully no one was hurt.
These were all pictures that I took as we walked around our hood shortly after the storm passed.
We spent the next day and a half with no electricity.
Here's Scoot removing a tree from our back yard.
