Evening Picnic

I found my 2 little sweethearts sitting outside together having a "picnic". Amelia was cheering each time Scott would take a bite. Who needs feeding therapy when you have Mini as a sister?!

Winter in July

We went to the Pheonix Zoo at 7:00 this morning for some fun in the "snow". Amelia and Owen checking out the fake snow tunnel.

Lance and Luker liked it too. Nice Reefs in the snow Mini. There's Robyn and O. We tried to stay out of the snow. Then the kids found a giant Meercat wondering around. He was looking for his Meercat friend.
Oh good, they finally found each other..

Fun Friday

Junie thinks he's 6 months old and needs 2 naps a day. Maybe if he didn't get up so early...Amelia wanted to pose for a picture by the beautiful bird bath. She even put those flowers there.
You may all be shocked but if you look closely you will see something very rare in our backyard. There's my husband in the blue shirt trimming trees without being asked. I am in shock...

He said he was going to do the dead ficus but then he just got carried away...

Goodbye dead trees, hello ugly backyard.

5:30am

I think that someone forgot to tell June that we are back on AZ time. If anyone is reading this and would like to meet at Pecos Park, I'll see you around 7:00am. Please...

6:30am

The kids are so happy to be home. Junie the jumper.
Neither of the kids want anything to do with me. I'm okay with that.

The Last Day

Last day of Tball.Mini was sad to have it come to end.
The LAST walk. This is a sad picture. They walked together everyday.
Last bike ride. To say this was a hard goodbye is the understatement of the year. Everyone was crying... I didn't take pictures. We drove an hour and a half then jumped on a plane to MN. We all had our own seats. Junie had his first gummie bear. (his nose looks like that from a fall and bloody nose the night before)Mini was by a random person across the isle.
All of the sudden I look over and Junie was out. PTL
The second flight was 3 hours. They were angels. (Thank you to those of you who prayed for us). They just sat together and watched movies. It was a dream.

Cousin Love

Hanker and Brother love each other.
I tried so hard to get them all to look at the same time, it's useless.
Cousins.
I think Uncle Lee is ready for kids of his own!!
See what I mean?
This is his first diaper change in his entire life. Amelia was cracking up. It took him 10 minutes to put in foot jammers. Karoline doesn't it make you want to have one?

Family Fun Night

This is the way we spent the majority of our time at my parents. The kids love just hanging out by the pool.

Fun with Nanny and Papa

I think my parents are getting sad for the kids to leave Iowa. My dad and mom both have teared up talking about it...on several occasions.

In the morning the kids want to cuddle with my mom or dad. NOT ME...Junie wants to do whatever my dad is doing. He literally copies everything. If he's awake he's asking for Papa. The other day he woke up from his nap, we came up from the basement and he said, "Papa, are you?? Are you?"

"I'm in here Dursh, (that's what he calls Scott) are you ready for the park?"

Scotty leaped out of my arms yelling, "Shoes, are you?" He found them, brought them to me to put on. He said THANK YOU and walked to the door. Then they were off to the park.

The entire month we've been here, my mom has sat in the middle of the kids in the backseat of the car. They play silly games with their legs. Man, are they going to be bored when they're alone in the back of the minivan.

My dad has decided that Scotty is no longer a baby. He puts him in the big kid swing...
... and he pushes him really high. Junie loves it.

Amelia and my mom when on a date to the lawn at Brucemore. http://www.brucemore.org/
The Joffrey Ballet was in town to give a free performance. Nanny and Mini packed a picnic with everything, cheese and crackers, peanut M&M's, Cheetos and Diet Rite in fancy adult glasses (see the picture). The gates opened at 6:30pm for an 8:00pm performance. My mom ran over and put her blanket down to get the front row. There were over thousands of people there.
Since it's a block from the Criddle house, Kerstin and I walked over to enjoy the show also. We had a great time with 3 of Kerstin's nice friends. Great wine, food, dessert and a lot of laughing. There's the Nutcracker. Here's sort of an interesting one.
Then all the dancers. It was awesome, I recommend it to all.
