A Really Sunny Day

Preschool then straight to the park with a friend. Boys are you excited? (they only sat that way through the parking lot)

Macker squinting from all the sun in his eyes!

Scoot joined us during his lunch hour.
This guy was happy.

Then his got so hot he had to take off his shirt. Not quite the muscles of this guy...
Next, on to Costco for a hot dog for Junie.
We walked to get Sissy from school and saw these sweet guys. They invited the teenagers over for some jumping on their trampoline. YES!
On the way home, we stopped by the playground at the school.
Macker loved the slide so much with Sissy that he....Wanted to go alone. About 1/2 a second after this picture was taken Macker landed on his head in the muddy wood chips. Thankfully they softened the blow.
Playing in a little creek on the way home. Who would have know that 2 sticks and a little water could be so much fun.
So thankful for blue skies. Welcome SPRING!!!!!

Breakfast and a Super Hero

Macker found the most beautiful breakfast hanging on the wall and enjoyed it for breakfast. (thanks for making that at preschool, Junie)Wow, something looks like it's missing...
This shouldn't be sitting next to the sink, it should be in the wall, right?
OUCH!
Junie said he felt really bad about the towel holder falling down. He was only trying to fly like a super hero. Then he asked if I felt sorry for him because of all the white powder that got in his eyes.... yeah, not so much.

In case you forgot, he's been through so much.

Neat.

Today was a beautiful day so I surprised the kids with a trip to our favorite park. I gave Macker 9 oz of milk a strawberry Nutri-grain bar and a baggie of pretzels. I was thinking that could just be is dinner. (give me grace, it's Awana night) When we pulled around the corner Macker saw the park yelled, "SLIDE!!" Then he gasped, (with exitement) choked on a pretzel and emptied his tummy. What a mess.

We were 20 minutes from home and the teenagers were so excited I couldn't NOT let them play. So they jumped out and ran as fast as they could from the stinky smell that was taking over the van.

If you think he looks bad you should see the car seat.

The weather is totally getting better here but it's not warm enough to go without pants...
I know I'm his mother but I seriously think Macker rocked the no pants look.

Don't you think that metal was cold on his leggers?

If you think this kid looks like he's judging Macker you should have seen his mother and all her friends;)
Yes, those are purple socks size 0-6 months.
Why wouldn't Junie step in dog poop and Sissy into Mackers spilled vomit?
Astraea, eat your heart out.

Things that are making me happy...

The winter has been starting to get to me lately. I've been feeling like the sun may never shine again. (wah, wah- I know I sound like Debbie Downer) Anyway, the best surprise came in the mail, made by a special friend. I am sooo thankful for my new "M" pillow. Love it, and love you.

This picture was 2 weeks ago and.... (not making me happy)
... this was today!! See the sun, the grass, the kids outside having fun. (making me happy)

Can you feel the excitement? (happy)

Kids getting along.
Sissy getting to see her special friend. (and us too)

These little leggers.
My Scooter has been having a stressful/hard week and today he got the surprise of his life on our door step. Thank you so much, you have no idea the joy we are feeling.

I had been praying that Scott would feel encouraged and loved and my prayers were answered.
BIGTIME!
His exact quote, "This is going to revolutionize our entire family!" I just really hope he's going to share with the kids :)
(Notice the sun shining on Macker)

Iowa Weekend

6 crazy cousins took over the mall and had a blast.
They all love being with their Nanny and Papa.
These 2 are going to be BFF's, they just don't know it yet.

Macker wasn't feeling too good but he was happy on Nanny's shoulder.
I can't tell you how many nights I slept in spongy rollers growing up, thanks for carrying on the tradition. Sissy loved them.
Happy jumping naughties.
Before it was time to go we had to have a quick marching band concert.

Now we're home and Scotty's 'guys' really missed him.
Happy March 1st.

Oh, Happy Day!

All my crazies eating breakfast. Nice face, June.
Macker flying with no pants.
Basement playing before school.
My stupid flat tire. Yes, that is actually how dirty my car really is, sick. Winter.
Is this some kind of modern art in the Walmart parking lot?
