We stopped to see our friends on our way back to Chicago. We were having so much fun that we decided to spend the night and leave at 5am to get back for school and work. We were literally 2.7 miles from their house(according to TomTom) when a crazy deer ran into us as we were traveling 55 miles per hour. Oh, deer.
Radiator and other fluid was leaking so we carefully made our way back to their house and called our insurance and the police.

Sorry about Kia. Glad you all are safe. Looks like Junie is really broken up about the deer hair on the car. Might take years to get over it.
So...what happened to Bambi? Will you be having venison steaks and venison stew and venison pot pie and venison burgers... for the next 2 years?

Bambi stumbled to the center median where it was swarmed by flies and later picked up by local roadkill cleanup people. The end.

We can start a support group - I hit a deer once. But not at 55 MPH - scary! Love the police officer and his huge grin. Looks like you made his day.
