Then to the most freezing parade in the world. I have never been colder in my life. It was way below zero with the wind chill. Nice ice sculptures. That's Junie freezing, even in snow pants.
Poor Mac. Inside to warm up. Seeing Santa.
And we took a really cold ride with these horses. The end.
I have the nicest husband. I was complaining to him today about being cold feeling like the kids are bored in the house. He told me to shape up. Then he called a couple hours later and told me he was taking us all on a "family date" tonight. He wouldn't give us any clues. We drove through rush hour traffic to the happiest place on earth... at least in DuPage County. DuPage Children's Museum. He told us he got us a family membership for one year. I cried happy tears.
It's HUGE! Here's a sound room.
Sissy making the biggest bubble in the world.
Creating these awesome water things... Scott got soaked.
Sissy making a cool water thing.
WINDTUNNEL.
This was going to be the sweetest picture.
Sorry, honey.
That's better.
Wind tunnel wall.
What the heck happened to my cute baby?
Wood working room.
We found some fun stuff for Mac too.
Poor Sissy, she couldn't make it go down...
This was a fun exhibit, why do you think people were looking at us funny?
Sweethearts.
This is our street. We live 3 blocks ahead on the left.
It is beautiful and I am thankful. Thanks so much Scoot, you made my night. Love you!
New jammers looking at the morning snow. (thanks, Kel)
New boots.
On the way to school.
My poor car, felt like driving in an igloo. We really need to buy scrapers.
My car door. I need to wear gloves too.
Snowy trees. Our street.
Watching Junie play outside.
We walked to get Sissy from school. It was so fun to play in the snow.
Mac really enjoyed the snow...
Snowball.
I got their boots at a secondhand store and Scotty's are a little big. He was behind me on the way to school and he started yelling. I looked and saw his bare toes in the snow. His boot had gotten stuck in the snow and when he lifted his leg his sock and boot didn't come with him. I guess he might now quite be a size 12 yet. Sorry, Buddy.
They wanted to take this home...
This is 4:30 this afternoon, it's just about dark but the kids wanted to play outside after their naps. It reminds me of playing in the sand at Pecos... kind of.
