Goodbye 1st Tooth!

Sissy is 7 years and 4 months old and she has been waiting *patiently* to lose her first tooth. Here she is last night before Awana. (the bottom one was so wiggly she could move it with her tongue)

This morning while Amelia was eating her English Muffin she screamed. I ran over to the table and had her spit all her half chewed bite out of her mouth. And there it was...

Nice peanut butter face.

What a giant tooth!

The new smile.

On the way to school.

Macker really wanted to show off his Dahlias ;)

Karen

Many of you know that Scott and I made an unexpected trip to AZ (this past weekend) to see Scott's mom Karen. She has been battling stage 4 colon cancer for over 2 years. A nice family from church gave Scott a ticket and my friend found me a sweet deal on a Buddie Pass. We are thankful for the way God provided for us to spend 3.5 days with Karen. My family and friends took care of the kids and they didn't even miss us. Before we left I had the kids make little videos to say hi to Grandma. I thought they were cute enough to share. Please join us in praying for Karen and her loving husband of 42 years, Tom.
Amelia.

Scott.

Macker

We had a really special time with Scott's sister and brother-in-law. We reminisced, laughed our heads off and cried all at the same time.
PS- We hate cancer.

Sleepover!

Sissy had her two sweet friends spend the night. So fun!

Lindsay and Amelia showing off their beautiful faces.

Scotty looked beautiful along with the girls.

Isabelle took good care of Scotty.

Lindsay even gave him a foot massage.

Beautiful eyes!

Little twins!!
Time for Mary Poppins!
Up early for soccer!
Home to clean the siding... wonder if we look a little grubby to the neighbors.

It was only in the 60's. BBrrrrr!
Scotty in his underpants.
Thankful for our great life.

PARADE!

Sissy and June did something amazing for the first time on Sunday afternoon....They were IN a parade with their soccer team. Macker, Scoot and I found the best spot... (Macker's Africa shirt from Jen, we love it!)
The parade began with some firetrucks and then all of the sudden we saw the cutest little person coming in the distance... can you see her?
She felt really bad for throwing all her candy and not saving any to share with Macker.
Sissy, Tyson and their team were so cute.
Next came Junie's team. Hoarding candy was more of Scotty's style...
We enjoyed the rest of the parade together. So fun.
I love these little sweethearts.

The Weekend

Our weekend started off with Sissy doing my job before bed. The boys love to listen to her read. Thursday morning Scotty and I drove to Iowa to meet my sisters at the Children's Museum. We had a great time and I'm not sure why I have NO pictures. Anyway, after Chick-fil-a my Macker hopped into my sister's car and took off for a fun filled weekend at Nanny and Papa's house. My sister lives 12 doors down from my mom and dad...
This picture was on the way to Iowa. Love them.
Scott and I took the teenagers on a dreamy mini vacation. No, not to California even though it kind of looks like it.... That's actually LAKE MICHIGAN.
A really nice family from our church invited us to spend the weekend with them at their lake house. Along with one other family, there was a total of 11 children.

It was beautiful.
The kids loved every second.

It was freezing and sooo windy but we loved it.
He's mine.
Scotty got soaked and lost a shoe.

Even though it was cold the pool washeated and the kids loved swimming.
Scott led the kids with his guitar.
We came home late Saturday night so that we could be at church Sunday morning. When we got home from church these crazies came over and we had a blast.
The adults had fun too.
They left early Monday morning and so did Scott. He drove to Iowa to meet my dad and bring home our little Macker. We missed him way more than he missed us...
Our missionary friends (from France) came over for dinner and to enjoy a perfect evening. (no bugs and no humidity) They are the friends that I know from my old days in Africa with Mercy Ships. They stayed with us for 2 weeks in August so the kids were happy to see them again.
Ok, that was our holiday weekend. We're thankful for all the friends and fun.

First Day of Pre-K!

Our big 4 and 1/2 year old miracle boy! Today is the big day.
Breakfast in bed. Coco Puffs and a juice box. (don't judge me)
Hoooray!!
The 3 sweethearts!
Today is the most beautiful day! Perfect blue skies!
Scotty's school is at the church where Scott works and I'm so thankful that most days he'll give him a ride in the morning.
Scotty has the nicest teachers. Mrs. Micheal's son was in the Jr. high group with Scott.
When June got home he pulled this picture out of his backpack. I asked him who it was and he said, "Mom, it's you. See the tears cause you miss me when I'm at school." He's right. I really do miss him.
