Ultrasound

We had an ultrasound today to check on the baby's development. I requested it just to see the intestines one more time. He's 3lbs 9oz. right now and everything looks normal. Praise the Lord. The ultrasound lady was like, "Look at that cute face... he's sticking his tongue out... see his hand..."
I on the other hand was more like, "How's the mesenteric lining look? How does the blood flow look to his intestines...?"
Seeing the pictures makes us all really excited. When I showed Amelia the pictures after school she was really sweet and said, "Is this our baby?"
"Yes" I replied.
"Is he going to look just like this but in color and with clothes on?"
"Pretty much..."

Fun Day!

Sissy had a couple of friends over to play this morning. They helped me make cookies and decorate them with M&M's.
Scotty got in on the action, can you tell he was bugging them?
It rained for about 10 seconds today. I ran upstairs and woke them up and by the time we got outside it was over...
They said they were cold. Yeah right, it was about 90 degrees today...

Awana Awards Night

Amelia has officially graduated from Cubbies. I'm a little sad over this because it means she's not a baby anymore. She will start kindergarten in July and Sparks in September.
Here she is with all the other Cubbies.

She did such a good job memorizing her verses and finishing her whole book. There's her wonderful teacher Gaynor!!

I also got an award for being her teacher/helper for the 2nd year. Should I move up to Sparks or take a year off?

New Blog Friend

My friend Janine has started a blog. She and I know each other from church and Awanas. Please stop by her blog and make her feel welcome.

Krispy Kreme Donuts...oh yeah!

Krispy Kreme reopened today in Phoenix (Mesa, actually) so why wouldn't we get in line at 5:30am to be a part of the fun.
They gave us t-shirts, beach balls, Shamrock Farms stuffed cows and vanilla milk. Not to mention a warm glazed donut.
Tons of news stations were there to capture the action.

Watching donuts be made.

Scott was trying to be seen on the news.

Lance and Luker were trying to be on TV too.Junie had a great morning even if he said donuts are yucky.
*Yes, we did wake our kids at 4:45am.

Pretty Flowers

Sissy has been waiting for Nanny to come so she could get her toes and nails painted with flowers. She was so excited!
She's been trying so had not to bite her nails and I'm so proud of her. Thanks Nanny!!
Someone else wanted his foot picure taken too. Is it normal that they wear the same size shoe and they're 2.5 years apart?
Love them!!

Maclaren

I have been wanting a Maclaren stroller for a million years. I know it's stupid because it's just a stroller but it's just so easy to push and it's so nice... anyway, I look every Saturday morning at garage sales and I have NEVER seen one. This morning I found this sweet red one in Ahwatukee and I couldn't believe it. It had sticker for $15.00 but I asked if they'd take $10.00 because it's a little dirty. The husband said sure and I skipped back to my car with my dirty dream stroller. You can buy it at Babies'R'us for $174.99
Here comes the unbelievable part... about 45 minutes after the 'find of a lifetime' I was garage saling down by Tumbleweed Park and.... I found another one!!!!! I'm not kidding. I asked the lady if it was for sale and she said $8.00 I asked if $5.00 was okay and she said YES. It feels like stroller Christmas at our house right now!!! If any of you are about to ask what I am going to do with 2 strollers the answer is, enjoy them. This one is older but never used. It's the same model but just a different fabric. It retails for about 114.99 or less.
I'm so thankful to God for these sweet finds!!! Do you think Scott will mind if I keep them in the living room?

Breakfast in Bed!

Sissy surprised Scott with breakfast in bed for his 35th birthday! He was really surprised and she was thrilled to join him.
We missed June (any of you that know me know what I'm about to say) we woke him up.
Scott had to get ready for work but the kids stayed to cuddle.
