Christmas Morning

We woke the kids up early and opened presents.

Junie loved unwraping.

Aunt Karoline got Mac this cute Santa suit.

The we loaded up the car and headed to Nanny and Papa's house in Iowa. 3 & 1/2 hours felt like forever with a missing window. Did mention that our car (actually, my dad's van that we were borrowing) got broken into the day before Christmas at the mall here in Chicago. They stole my phone and my GPS. So sad. Glass everywhere. Anyway... click here and here...

Uncle Lee with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Aunt Kers looked so cute that I had to blog this one.

Special Visitor...

We went to 6:00 service with 2000 of our closest friends. Scott did a scripture reading and a prayer, he did a great job. We came home then Scott had to run to the store for me (wink, wink)
Sissy read the kids some books.

All of the sudden we heard a faint "Ho, Ho, HO!!" It kept getting louder till.... click HERE and HERE to find out...

Christmas Eve Morning.

The snow is awesome this morning. Huge flakes and tons of it. We all bundled up and headed to a great sledding hill near our house. The kids climbed this 'mountian'.

Time for sledding. Check out Mac's ride.

Action shot. Check out Sissy!!

The snow was perfect for a snowman.

Sissy even gave up her hat for Frosty.

Sissy loved him. Can you see that snow coming down? It was so great we had to dance!

Swinging. And SLEDiNG!
Big Scott doing tricks.
Macky had fun too.

When we got home our backyard seemed so empty without our very own snowman.

Sissy and I worked hard to make him while Scott ran around the house looking for good stuff for his face. Eyes-Peppermint Patties. Nose-string cheese. Mouth-cranberries. Arms- utencils from the kitchen. Grandpa Jacks hat!

Mac enjoyed it too.

Merry Christmas!! Love you guys!

Museum Day!

We got up early and went straight to the swimming pool at the hotel. It was on the 9th floor and really fun to look out the windows and look at tall building. Lance (the tour guide) had the rest of the day figured out for us. Here we are waiting for the city bus.

Scott and Mac on the bus.

Sissy and O- no car seats...
Almost to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was awesome and I remember going there as a kid with my family.

They had a huge farm exhibit. Hanker would love it!

Riding a cow?

Two studs and a cow.
I have no idea how to spell combine. I couldn't help but think of Hank here too.
Sissy and Mac.
Beautiful tree. The whole gang.

Luker and Owen!
Scott and Robyn.

In a submarine.

At the control center.
Touching a real Navy plane.
In the coal mine.

Mac loves Robyn.
Scott and his twin.
Steering a ship.
Check out this exhibit, my favorite.
Dance party time. Can you tell the adults were getting a little tired?

These little sweethearts waiting for the bus.

Poor Mac was so tired. He slept all the way back to Wheaton. We took the bus to the hotel to get our bags, then a taxi to the train station then a train back to Wheaton then a walk back to our house. It was really a special weekend!
*** I almost forgot about this one... Junie decided to crawl under the seat on the train and poop. The only reason we all knew this was because the smell was so overpowering that our entire traincar stunk. Seriously, people all around us were looking around for the stink smell.
There's Junie, poor little guys didn't mean to cause a seene. Don't we all know he's been through alot.
