We bundled up the kids and headed north in search of SNOW.
They loved wearing their winter coats for the first time this year.
We got to stay for free at a Marriott Residence Inn and the nice girl at the front desk even upgraded us to a suite with a fireplace. It was wonderful. They loved wearing their winter coats for the first time this year.
Scott made a fire and the kids jumped and leaped and flipped for about 2 hours.
The next morning we were off to find snow. We went north to Snowbowl and when there was no snow there we saw a sign for the Grand Canyon and thought... why not.
and drove...
and drove...
When we finally got there we paid 25 dollars and went in. We hurried up to the edge and we could literally see NOTHING. Look behind us in the picture, it's the Grand Canyon. Go ahead and laugh. Still no snow.
Still no snow but we had a good time making memories.

I love it! That reminds me of the time I was in Europe... hours on the train, bus, then hiking to see this infamous castle -- when we got there we could see fog. Nothing but fog. Lots and lots of fog. Yes, that's the way memories are made! Glad you had fun. :)
Winter coat?!? That's more like a late fall / early spring coat :)
Looks like fun! Dang....I should have followed you up there with ice cubes and thrown them at you all when you weren't looking. That would have totally faked you all out....
Love it that your kids are so trusting. They knew you'd find something fun sooner or later.
AAAHH..I'm so jealous!! I want to go in search of Snow & cold too....I don't even have a winter coat for Colby!?! We are headed to IA in a couple of weeks... hopefully they will have snow there! I heard 14 inches this weekend...per weatherman Virg!! LOL
